The Capital Improvement Project Software (CIPS) is a multi-user database software system that meets the diverse needs of any organization to store, monitor and manage financial and project information for Capital Improvement Projects.

CIPS includes the following components:

  • Web-interface for Consultants and Contractors to create Engineering Estimates, submit Bids, Change Orders and Invoices online.

Web-based Timecard System

The Web Timecard system was created to port the diary and timecard entry module of a legacy client server application to the web platform.

The project includes the following components:
  • A Web-based interface for employees to enter attendance information and inspection/diary information

The objective of the project was to provide a complete E-Learning System, which enables the training department for quickly creating new training courses, modifying and maintain the contents of the existing training courses, etc. and also allows user to access the system through internet. Telephone Management System (TMS) 

TMS is a multi user Telephone Management system for billing and reporting of telephone calls. The system is capable of interfacing with any industry standard Call Accounting Software. The system was designed for billing and reporting of various types of line and equipment. The system also provide modules for handling fiscal year ending process called “Turn Around Document (TAD) Process” for each of the components.

Personnel and Financial Database System (PFDS)  

PFDS is a Personnel and Financial Database System  for Colleges/Universities.  The personnel sub system is designed to handle the personnel functions for the staff, faculty and other employees of the college. The system keeps track of assignments for faculty and staff members, hours worked and leaves details. The system keeps track of performance appraisal for the faculty and staff. The system keeps track of salaries, increments etc. This information is also updated in the financial system. Salaries are calculated on the basis of pay options and compensation hours. The system generates salary and various other reports.

The Financial sub system keeps track of the college's income, budget and expenses. Each department keeps track of financial information through various accounts. The system provides various reports including account summaries, trend analysis, and financial statements.  

Academic and Billing Reporting System (ABRS) 

Academic and Billing Reporting System is developed for Colleges/School/Universities running various specialized degree programs. ABRS is designed to keep track of the personal, academic and financial information of students enrolled in various Degree Programs. The system also keeps track of faculty information. The system includes various modules such as Program, Class, Student, Faculty, Academic and Billing. Each of the module provides a user friendly GUI and implements the business logic at the database level. The system also provides hierarchical access levels for users under different categories for the purpose of data security.

eLive Auction  

eLive Auction is  a 24 hours real-time web based auction platform. Users can first create an auction with number of lots and items and then send emails to bidders around the world about the auction date and time. On the scheduled date and time, bidders will login to the web site, go to their appropriate auctions and place real-time bids. The bid environment is the same as bids in physical live auctions. The bidder, who places the bid with the maximum amount, wins the bid. Seller has many options to transmit live messages to the bidders. The auction platform was developed on Unix using Java, CGI-PERL, PHP, HTML, DHTML and Oracle.

ePay System 

ePay is a a web-based application that facilitates person-to-person money transfer. Users can transfer money via email. Users can transfer money into their ePay account from their bank accounts or from their credit cards. Users can transfer money from their ePay account to other website users or to any other email address. Users can also withdraw money from their ePay account to their bank accounts. This website allows users to make online payment for their auction listing, services, goods and other items. This website also allows users to send invoices to buyers.

TKSA developed a web-based application for the University of Texas, Dental Branch, Houston. The system was designed to keep track of patient data. The system keeps track of patient demographic data, procedures, diagnosis, physician information etc.

Web Based Task Manager  

This website was developed for Thinklogic LLC. The objective of this project was to develop a web based task management tool. Using this website, users can create new tasks, assign tasks to individuals, monitor tasks, archive tasks and send tasks through email. This website was developed using ASP and MS SQL Server 2000.

Computer Based Training

A computer based training (CBT) was developed by TKSA for INOVx Systems The objectives for the CBT were: (i) to train and evaluate the prospective employees to help in the recruitment process; (ii) to train the new employees for using the specialized softwares developed by INOVx. Training courses were developed using multimedia for the softwares like RealityLINx and 3-D PlantLINx. These software are used to generate and utilize the accurate 3-D CAD models of existing plants. The contents for the CBT were stored in database so that the training administrators can quickly creating new training courses, modifying and maintain the contents of the existing training courses, etc.

Regression Testing Tools  

A set of Regression Testing Tools were developed for testing Software Development Kits (SDKs) containing flexible software modules used for developing clinical information systems. These software modules are extremely powerful development tools that let you easily embed drug knowledge bases and expert drug information into new or existing clinical information systems. Separate testing tools were developed for C++ SDK, COM objects and CORBA Interface in VC++, VB and Java respectively. The regression-testing tool is being used to test the complete behavior of objects. The tools provide the test results in HTML format.

Web Enabled Unified Messaging System

This system was developed to enable business to meet their communication needs via a single desktop application. A user can send a fax, e-mail, voice or paging via single application from their desktop. The data sent by users are transmitted via HTTPS to back-end server that processes these messages and sends them to the respective destination worldwide. A vendor that provides communication services does the back end processing. Users are able to select and manage destination address through a phonebook. Phonebook management supports ODBC, LDAP and important options. Security of data transfer is ensured via HTTPS and data encryption.  

XML Interface for Unified Messaging System

The product was enhanced to enable the user to send XML documents. The existing unified messaging system was enhanced with an XML interface, which allows users to send XML documents to the server via HTTPS. The XML document is parsed using IBM's XML 4J parser. The XML documents are accessed via Java Servlet, running on Apache Tomcat server.

Media Server for Unified Messaging System

The Media Servers are set of server applications that enables point to point faxing, fax broadcasting, voice broadcasting, e-mail to fax and fax to e-mail broadcasting. The server applications are database driven. The application was developed using Visual C++, COM, SQL Server, MS Exchange server, Java Servlet and Windows API. The work also included development of a web server to receive incoming traffic on a secure HTTP connection. The server supports various media incoming modes using HTTPS, modem and e-mail.

Medical Imaging System  

This system was developed to provide a Java based Diagnostic Imaging and Communications (DICOM) solution. The system includes receiving DICOM images from various modalities (MRI, CT etc.), validating DICOM formats, storing and retrieving DICOM data, interfacing DICOM data ware house with web server, developing web interfaces to access DICOM image through the web. The system interfaces with the existing Radiology Information System server. The system provides platform independent APIs to enhance the functionality of the DICOM solution, The solution was developed using Java Servlet, Oracle 8i, JDBC, JavaBeans and CORBA.

Interactive Voice Response System  

The system helps physician to access the pre-recorded patient diagnostic information stored in a radiology information system, identified by patient-id, through the telephone. The application was developed in VC++ and interfaces with an Oracle database.

Asset Tracking System (ATS)

 Asset Tracking System is designed to keep inventory and track all the assets in any small to medium size organization. The system includes various modules for asset tracking such as Inventory Management, Allocation and Assignment, Asset Movement, Maintenance, and Deprecation. Each of the module provides a user friendly GUI and implements the business logic at the database level. The system also provides hierarchical access levels for users under different categories for the purpose of data security. The system is also capable of interfacing with standard accounting and financial packages.

The system uses the barcode system and has hardware interface with label printer /scanner and a palm device. The system also provides an elaborate reporting module. Reports generated include asset summary, asset by category, asset by vendor, room summary, misplaced assets, maintenance history, movement history, assignment history, and depreciation report.

ATS is available in both client–server and web-based versions.

eProjx Web Development  

This web site was developed for project management company. The web site provides information to client in project management areas like Work Process, Value Engineering, Cost Engineering, Resource Scheduling, Risk Analysis, Training Workshop and Project Execution Planning. Clients use a web site to keep track of the project. The web site was developed using ASP, HTML, DHTML, ActiveX components, VB Script and Java Script.
